I recently reconnected with Edie after about 35 years. It didn't take me long to realize that she had much more energy than me and, she was a couple of years older. I had torn the ligaments in my knee about 8 years before and was never able to get back to the good health I had at the time. I just never seemed to get past the enormous effort it took just to get started. She finally convinced me to take baby steps. Anyone can do anything for a week, right? Or 10 days? I heard her say it enough that I finally bit the bullet. I started her 10-day body reset. After all, I had the proof right in front of me. She had so much more vitality than I did. After a few false starts, (old habits are hard to kick) I was up and running. I became motivated just by how I was feeling. Not exercising had been a problem because of my injury but what I didn’t realize is that what I was eating was far worse. I ate way too much processed food and sugar. Something easy to grab on the run was my go-to. I was about 5 days in when I began to feel differently. I had energy, so much more energy. And I no longer felt like I “just had to have” something, you know that sugar craving that hits and you have to use every bit of self-control you have and you still cave. That feeling was gone. I had kicked my sugar habit. And having the additional energy was key. Getting out and taking a walk or riding a bike was not necessarily my favorite thing to do but it was making me feel so much better I have been able to put it back into my regular routine. I have completed the 10 Day Kickstart, but have only chosen to put a few things back in. Sugar is out and I do not miss it. I am eating only real, organic food that I enjoy without guilt. I cannot thank Edie enough. I have started so many different programs, spent so much money and never got past the 1st couple of days. I was doing everything wrong and I didn’t know it. I blamed myself for being lazy. I really had no idea that what I ate was more important than how much I ate. I say give it a try. You have nothing to lose and I think you will be surprised.

I feel lucky to have been introduced to Edie through a mutual friend. It was perfect timing since I had started exploring gluten free diets. Edie has been a wonderful and supportive resource. I always felt comfortable sharing my background and various aspects of my personal life. I tried Edie's 10-day body reset with my wife. I figured I could do anything for 10 days, right? It has been six months now and I have lost 45 pounds (and counting). This is weight I have not been able to get rid of despite working out every other day at a gym for years. I have now given up gluten entirely and I didn't even know what gluten was 6 months ago, but there is no denying that I am better without it. I didn't try the reset to lose weight. I did it to try to find relief for allergies I have had for years. I have taken all kinds of antihistamines with no results. I was still a hard sell on the whole gluten thing, but I was willing to give it a try. No one was more surprised than me when I started noticing a change in my allergies. The fact that I am no longer eating things that were a staple in my diet forever is the real proof. I am sleeping better and the weight loss is a bonus. The gluten free recipes Edie has shared with me are big help in keeping me on this diet. I don't feel deprived. And even better, I am finding that most of my favorite places to eat now serve gluten free items. Thanks Edie!
